WELCOME TO MY 2022-23 FUNDRAISING PAGE!

Hi there! My name is Elaina Burt! I am Miss Jefferson County’s Outstanding Teen and an Epilepsy Awareness Ambassador for the Epilepsy Foundation. The MAOT organization and the Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama have given me the opportunity to invest in and find a voice for my social impact initiative, Charlie’s Chance. I founded Charlie’s Chance out of a desire to advocate for patients like my little cousin, Charlie. Charlie was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy when she was only a few months old and I’ve seen first hand the struggles that epilepsy creates…but equally as important, I’ve seen what it takes to overcome epilepsy one day at a time! 

I am currently raising funds to make a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. The Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama has made such an impact on our family’s day to day life and I love having the opportunity to give back to them!
