What is Lemonade for Livy?

Lemonade for Livy is a fun and empowering way for individuals of all ages to raise awareness and critical funds for the epilepsy community. Whether you host an in-person lemonade stand or fundraise online (or both!) you'll be making a difference for the 3.4 million Americans living with epilepsy. We provide resources, such as fundraising tips and best practices, flyers, printable thank you letters and much more to help you make the biggest impact you can with your lemonade stand.

Who can sign-up for Lemonade for Livy?

Anyone can host a lemonade stand to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation!

Is there a minimum age to participant in Lemonade for Livy?

No, there is no minimum age to participate. Everyone who is interested in hosting a Lemonade for Livy fundraiser is encouraged to do so!

Do I have to create an online fundraising page to participate in Lemonade for Livy?

We highly recommend you sign-up to receive your own personal fundraising page, even if you only plan to host an in-person lemonade stand! This allows you to securely accept online donations for anyone who cannot attend your lemonade stand and you can easily share your lemonade stand through email and social media. Click here to setup an online fundraising page.

I'm a returning participant/team, can I reactivate my fundraising page/team from last year?

Returning participants are recommended to use the same username and password when registering for this year's event. If you don't remember your log-in information, email us fundraising@efa.org and we can send you your username and reset your password. However, we are not able to add your previous fundraising progress to this year's event.

To re-start a team from last year, you must have been a member of the team in the same event last year and log in with the username and password you used last year. Once logged in, you will be asked if you would like to re-start your team from last year. Choose to re-start your team and continue with the registration process.

Please reach out to fundraising@efa.org with any other registration questions.

What if I receive cash or checks for donations?

We accept all donations! If you hosted an in-person lemonade stand, you can use this donation form and mail check donations to the below address:

Epilepsy Foundation
Lemonade for Livy c/o [YOUR NAME]
3540 Crain Highway Ste 675
Bowie, MD 20716

We do not recommend sending cash donations through the mail. The best way to handle cash donations would be to deposit them in your own bank and make an online donation through your fundraising page or sending a check to the above address if possible.

Please note, if they would like to receive an IRS tax-deductible letter for any donation, checks must be written out to the Epilepsy Foundation with a memo stating it was for your fundraiser and online donations must be made to your fundraising page or directly to the Epilepsy Foundation.

Is there a registration fee to sign-up for Lemonade for Livy?

There is no registration fee to sign-up for Lemonade for Livy! However, the Epilepsy Foundation does not cover any costs associated with hosting your own fundraiser.

How is the money from my fundraiser being used?

The funds raised support our mission to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. With a Four Star Charity Navigator Rating, $.83 of every dollar we raise is used both locally and nationwide to fund research into new therapies, education and awareness, and advocacy efforts. See this page for further information.

I created a fundraiser on Facebook, not through my Participant Center. Can I connect it to my fundraising page retroactively?

No. Participants must register on the Lemonade for Livy website first, then create the Facebook Fundraiser from their Participant Center. We cannot tie an existing Facebook Fundraiser to a new registration. If you have already created a fundraiser and selected the Epilepsy Foundation as the beneficiary, donations will be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation as general donations. To begin receiving credit for new donations, please close your existing fundraiser, visit your Participant Center, and set up a new fundraiser.
